Brothers accused of assaulting, urinating on homeless man say 'Trump was right'

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Two South Boston men have been arrested after allegedly urinating on and beating a homeless man at the JFK T Station.

Police say Scott J. Leader, 38, and Steve M. Leader, 30, came across the homeless man on the way home from the Red Sox game Tuesday night around midnight.

The brothers allegedly found the 58-year-old man in a sleeping bag then urinated on him, punched him several times and even hit him with a metal pole they found in the area.

Police say the brothers continued to cause a disturbance after being arrested. They allegedly exposed themselves, urinated in a holding cell, challenged state troopers to fight them and referred to the unidentified Hispanic victim as an “illegal immigrant.”

The Boston Globe reported that Leader told troopers, "Donald Trump was right, all these illegals need to be deported."

When asked what he thought about that statement, Trump said, "I haven't heard about that I think that would be a shame."

Both men are charged with

  • Indecent Exposure;

Steve, the younger brother, is also charged with malicious destruction of property over $250.
