BOSTON — Brooks has unveiled its running shoe to celebrate this year's Boston Marathon and it's all about the MBTA.

The shoes have a map of the MBTA transit system printed on the sides.

"We were ultimately inspired by the city’s infamous transportation system and the spirit of running in Boston," the company wrote on its blog. "We love that the maps of the city streets and subway system speak to the experience of running and racing in Boston."

In 2018, Brooks-sponsored American runner Des Linden finished at the top of the women's field in downright nasty conditions.

In 2014, a group raising money for their Boston Marathon team hosted an event pitting runners agains the Green Line. Ultimately, a runner came in a almost 50 seconds ahead of the T. It's unclear if we should be impressed or sad.

The shoes will go on sale March 28 for $100.
