Bridgewater Regional High School evacuated after bomb threat

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Bridgewater Regional High School was evacuated late Thursday morning after a bomb threat was called into the school, police said.

The bomb threat was called into the high school located at 415 Center St. at about 10:15 a.m. School administrators evacuated the building and notified emergency personnel.

The Bridgewater Police Dept., the Raynham Police Dept., and the Bridgewater Fire Dept. all responded to the school. Three bomb sniffing K-9 units performed a search of the interior and exterior of the school and nothing was located.

The threat to the school is under investigation.

During the search, authorities found there was a mechanical problem with the fire alarm. Due to the search and the fire alarm repair, students were released an hour early from school, police said.
