BPL giving away free wedding ceremonies

BOSTON — For those wanting a small intimate wedding in a classic space, the Boston Public Library is hosting the perfect contest.

The Wedding Ceremoney Giveaway will allow six couples to tie the knot at the library, which is one of the most popular wedding venues in the city.

The contest is giving away time for just the ceremony and doesn't include a reception. In addition, the happy couple may only invite eight guests. Nevertheless, it includes the flowers, a light breakfast, ceremony music, and a mini photography session.

According to the library's website, a courtyard wedding ceremony starts at about $6,000. So this contest can save a couple a big chunk of change with additional fees that will be incurred for a ceremony.

Six couples will be chosen at random and the contest runs through mid-March.
