BOSTON — A new theater sharing a lot with Fenway Park has been approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency.
The Fenway Theater will be built on the 67,400-square-foot triangular lot behind the ballpark at the corner of Ipswich and Lansdowne Streets.
The proposed project will include a new area connected to the back of the stadium's bleachers with concessions stands, restrooms and function space.
There will also be a renovation to the Fenway garage that connects the two properties.
