Boy who collapsed on playground improving at hospital

AUBURN, Mass. — A 6-year-old Auburn boy who collapsed on the playground during recess last week should be released from a hospital soon.

Boston 25 News reported last week that the first-grader suffered a medical emergency at Pakachoag Elementary School and collapsed.

Information as to why the boy collapsed hasn’t been released, but the superintendent said he is awake, walking, talking and eating on his own.

The school nurse performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital to be treated.
