Boston police renew efforts to ID boys found dead in 1988

BOSTON (AP) - Boston police are renewing their efforts to identity two boys whose bodies were found in a wooded area of the city in 1988.

Police said Wednesday they need the public's help in figuring exactly what happened to them.

As part of the effort, police released an image of what one boy may have looked like.

They were found in the city's Dorchester neighborhood in October 1988 and appeared to have been dead for several days. One was estimated to be 14 to 16 years old, was about 5-feet, 4 inches tall and weighed 130 pounds. He may have been named Clayton.

The second was 15 to 17 and may have been known as Hooker.

Both were black and may have been from or had ties to the Bronx, New York.
