BOSTON — Boston police have interviewed a woman they were looking for in relation to a death investigation in Boston.

BACKGROUND

On Wednesday, June 15, officers were called to Princeton Street in East Boston, where they found 18-year-old Blanca Lainez suffering from traumatic injuries. Lainez was pronounced dead at the scene.

A month later, on July 10, 16-year-old Jose Alejando Hernandez was arrested and charged with murder.

“She was the baby. It's so sad you can never imagine it would happen to her. She didn't get a chance to live. She is the baby of the family,” Blanca’s sister Dora said.

“We heard comments that they had a relation,” Dora said.

FEMALE IDENTIFIED

Thursday, Boston Police released photos and video footage of a woman they said they were looking to identify in relation to the investigation. Around 3:30 p.m. they told FOX25 the woman had been identified and interviewed.
