Boston officer, considered 5th victim of marathon bombings, honored in Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston Officer Dennis Simmonds died about a year after the Watertown shootout following the Boston Marathon bombings.

Simmonds, 28, was on the force for 6 years. He was added to a wall of fallen Boston police officers Thursday.

"Extremely proud of him, words can't say enough about what he accomplished in a very short time," his father said.

He will always be remembered.
