BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A mosquito pool in Boston has tested positive for West Nile virus.
The pool, which was collected in Jamaica Plain, is the city's first to test positive for the virus in 2013.
City officials working with the Suffolk County Mosquito Control Project have placed larvicide in catch basins and wetlands in an effort to control the mosquito population. The city also plans to conduct aerosol spraying from trucks in certain areas of Boston.
No human cases of West Nile have been reported in Mass. this year.
