BOSTON — We know it, you know it – Driving in Boston is. The. Worst. And now there is a report that backs it up.
Insurance company Allstate compiled driving data from 200 cities across the country and Boston landed at the very bottom of the list.
Boston was ranked 200 out of the 200 safest driving cities.
According to the report, Boston residents go 3.7 years in between collisions, on average.
In a national survey, nearby Worcester landed the next worst spot, coming in at 199.
The two Massachusetts cities are followed by Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC.
Springfield ranks #196 and Providence came in at #194.
So what is the safest city to drive? Brownsville, Texas took first place, followed by Kansas City and Madison, Wisconsin.
