BOSTON — Eleven firefighters and one civilian were sent to the hospital after a reported level 3 hazmat situation in the city's South End neighborhood.
Their injuries are minor, according to Boston EMS.
All occupants of the building were evacuated.
Firefighters responded to 1740 Washington St. for a reported hazmat situation at 12:15 p.m. on Friday.
According to the Boston Fire Department, reports of noxious fumes on the third floor of a five-story home prompted the response.
