Boston elementary school teacher arrested in connection with public sex act

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A special education teacher at a Boston school was arrested in connection with a public sex act and subsequently placed on leave.

At about 7:15 p.m. on April 20, witnesses say Thomas L. Gould, 37, allegedly performed a sex act on a man at a table at South Station, according to the Boston Globe. Both men were reportedly intoxicated and had an audience of men, women, children and security cameras.

Gould was arrested and the other man was summonsed to court after being examined by EMT's, the Globe reported. Charges may still be pending for the other man involved.

Gould was arraigned the day after the incident on charges of open and gross lewdness; lewd, wanton, and lascivious conduct; and disorderly conduct. A not guilty plea was entered on the Hull man's behalf and he was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on June 10.

As a teacher for the Grew Elementary School in Hyde Park, Gould worked with students with learning disabilities for the last 12 years. He was recently appointed as teacher-in-charge, meaning he could stand in for the principal if necessary. He was placed on administrative leave Wednesday pending the outcome of the charges.
