Bombing survivor Rebekah Gregory gives birth to baby girl

HOUSTON, Texas. — Boston Marathon bombing survivor Rebekah Gregory has given birth to a daughter, Ryleigh Michelle.

According to a post on Gregory’s Facebook page, Ryleigh was born May 2, several weeks before her due date.

“She is a fighter. Someone said "Boston Strong" by default. I would agree. While we were in Boston, we saw God at work in Rebekah's life. We were humbled by the miracles we witnessed as we requested the prayers of His people,” Gregory’s mother Tina said on Facebook.

The family is asking for prayers due to Ryleigh’s early arrival. She is expected to spend several weeks in the NICU while her lungs and other systems continue to develop.
