KITTY HAWK, N.C. — The body of a four-year-old boy from New Hampshire swept out to sea last week has been found in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, according to police in Kitty Hawk.
The boy and his family were on vacation in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina last week when he was lost in the waves.
According to police, the boy’s body was found on Carova Beach, nearly 35 miles north of where the family was vacationing and just a few miles from the Virginia border.
His body will be sent back to Manchester, New Hampshire for a burial.
The family has asked that a small memorial set up on the beach with shells and notes be sent to them as well.
