DERRY, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Attorney General is investigating the “untimely” deaths of a 6-year-old boy and his father.
Police in Derry were called to 30 Kendal Pond Road just after noon Monday to check on the welfare of the residents, the Attorney General’s Office told Boston 25 News.
Few details were known about their deaths, but the Attorney General’s Office said autopsies will be conducted Tuesday to try and learn more information.
When officers arrived at the mobile home, they were unable to make contact with 39-year-old Matthew Edmunds or his 6-year-old son, Preston.
When they entered they found their bodies in a bedroom.
Neighbors are heartbroken.
"It just bothered me a whole lot that this actually happened," Corinne Wilson said. "I'm a Christian and I truly believe he's in Heaven now. And I want him to rest in peace up there."
Investigators told Boston 25 News they don’t believe there is a threat to the public, and one of the causes they will be investigating will be carbon monoxide poisoning.
