WAREHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- No one was injured after a boat ran aground in Wareham, but the boat could prove tricky to remove from the rocks.
According to the Wareham Fire Department, a 44-foot Sea Ray boat ran aground at Stony Point Dike on Sunday afternoon. The boat, out of Newport, R.I., did not seem to be leaking fuel, according to the harbormaster, who was keeping an eye on it.
The boat ran aground while the tide was moving out, which created a dilemma for the tow boat company that was sent to remove it from the rocks.
It was unclear, according to the fire department, how the boat got stuck on the rocks.
Eight people were on board at the time. No one was injured.
