EASTHAM, Mass. — A bicyclist was taken to the hospital via MedFlight after suffering a significant head injury Wednesday morning.
Eastham Police and Fire responded to a report of a car hitting a bicyclist on Herring Brook Road near Bridge Pond Road. Emergency officials found a cyclist on the roadway with a head injury.
Police said they quickly determined that there was not a motor vehicle involved in the incident.
The identity of the cyclist is unknown at this time. Anyone with information about the cyclist should contact Eastham Police Officer Gregory Plante at 508-255-0551.
The bicyclist was taken to Barnstable Municipal Airport to meeting a MedFlight helicopter.
Eastham Police are continuing to investigate.
