HUDSON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed while riding his bicycle in Hudson Sunday.
Family and friends of William Schofield told FOX25 News that the 54-year-old was hit and killed while riding his bike Sunday at about 5:30 p.m.
State police were back at the scene Tuesday gathering information as they piece together exactly what happened. Husdon police say they are investigating the deadly crash and there have been no arrests at this point.
The owner of a business near the crash scene handed over his surveillance video because he thought it may help investigators with some leads. Investigators were also seen at the police department looking at a car that was brought in Tuesday.
Schofield, who was known to everyone in town as Sco, worked at an auto body and marine garage right up the street from where he was hit.
"Everything he did he did incredibly well. He worked on boats, cars. He worked on my vehicles," one of his friends said.
His friends also say he loved fishing and was an amazing chef.
Several business owners say they handed over their security camera video to police. The investigation remains ongoing.
