BARNSTABLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A bomb threat briefly interrupted the school day at Barnstable High School, but school was able to resume long enough for normal dismissal to take place at around 2 p.m.
Police responded to the school at around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. Staff and students evacuated the building, and the Massachusetts State Police provided a bomb technician and supervisor, which helped Barnstable police assess the threat.
At around 1:30 p.m., the school determined that it was safe to have students return to the building, and afternoon dismissal took place as usual.
Barnstable police did not say if the threat was connected to any of the other bomb threats made at area schools in recent weeks.
