Barbie dolls dressed as Jesus and Mary cause concern for Catholics

BUENOS AIRES (MyFoxBoston.com) - Backlash over Barbie. The popular toy is stirring up new controversy this morning over a display featuring these dolls.

That's Barbie and Ken dressed as religious figures.

The artistic showcase is on display in Buenos Aires. The display has 33 dolls in total, including a crucified Jesus and Virgin Mary.

It's called "Barbie, the plastic religion" and the artists told USA Today it's meant to combine "two of the most popular elements of history:" Barbie and religion.

But, the people in the birthplace of the head of the Catholic Church say dressing those dolls as sacred figures can damage a child's understanding of religion.
