KEENE, N.H. — A Keene Army recruiter has been charged possession of child pornography.
According to the Keene Police Department, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children identified Andrew Beezub, 32, of receiving child pornography and storing it on the internet.
Since May 2013, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Beezub had been working at the West Street Army recruiting location in Keene. Residents of the town said they recognize him.
"I know who you are. I've seen you seven times and now I feel offended," Elizabeth Goldthwaite said.
A search warrant was issued for Beezub’s computer and police said they found evidence of child sexual abuse images.
Beezub turned himself in to police on Tuesday and released on $2,500 bail with orders not to have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Army officials tell FOX25 they are looking into the situation.
US Army recruiting command does not tolerate inappropriate behavior by anyone in our command.
We are the army's ambassadors to the community across America, it is so important for everyone on our team to live and demonstrate the army values everyday.
The command takes any allegations very seriously and ensures individuals under investigation are not recruiting duty while an investigation is on going .
Recruiters are the face of the army, and we expect them to serve honorably while representing the force.
