MIDDLETON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The boyfriend of Jeremiah Oliver's mother, Alberto Sierra, will transfer out of the Essex County Jail after his attorney said Sierra feared for his life.
In a court hearing Thursday, Sierra's attorney filed a motion to move his client from the jail, claiming that Sierra is in constant fear of his safety, even though he is kept in solitary confinement.
The judge was unopposed to the motion and ruled that Sierra could be moved to a facility in either Hampden, Franklin or Hampshire county.
Sierra, 23, is being held without bail and has bled not guilty to charges in connection with the disappearance of 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver of Fitchburg.
The young boy's body was found in mid-April in a suitcase along a highway in Sterling, Mass. No one has been charged directly with the boy's death.
