Huisken Meat Company discovered “extraneous wood materials” coming from an unidentified “incoming ingredient,” according to the USDA. The department said it had not received reports of adverse reactions from eating the contaminated meat.

Approximately 89,568 pounds of beef products were affected.

The products were shipped nationwide and have the establishment No. “EST. 394A” inside the USDA mark of inspection, according to officials.

“Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them,” USDA officials said in a news release. “These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
