QUINCY, Mass. — Seven teens who allegedly attacked a group of five other teens at Squantum Point Park in Quincy last week are being charged.
State police said they identified the attackers after an extensive investigation into the July 31 attack that was captured on video and later posted on social media.
The seven attackers are all juvenile males, police said, so their names are not being released. They are a 17-year-old from Quincy, three 16-year-olds from Quincy, two 15-year-olds from Quincy and a 14-year-old from Kingston.

Tom Saniuk and his wife were at the boardwalk enjoying the sunset on the day of the attack.
“It was a massive group of people, you can tell they were fighting from far away. Intervening in the situation, would've made matters worse,” he said.
Police said the attackers not only punched, kicked and tackled the victims, but also prevented them from leaving the area where the attack happened.
Each is charged with 18 separate counts including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), assault and battery, assault and kidnapping. The suspects have not yet been arraigned.
All five victims were also juveniles are not being identified by name, age or hometown.
