$250K worth of drugs, guns discovered after Seabrook house fire

SEABROOK, N.H. — An alarming discovery was made inside a burning Seabrook home when first responders went in to check for pets.

Seabrook police found what they called a sophisticated marijuana growing operation in the garage of the building.

Neighbors and police said they had no idea about the drug business.

In addition to marijuana, a search of the premises turned up psychedelic mushrooms, LSD and a white powder believed to be a heroin/fentanyl combination.

The total street value of the seizure: more than $250 thousand.

There were also numerous firearms ranging from handguns to sub-machine guns.

Police said the suspect, 37-year-old Jonah Couturier, fled after calling 911 when the fire started.
