2 shootings under investigation in Worcester, 18-year-old killed

WORCESTER, Mass. — Worcester Police are investigating two shootings from Tuesday night, one of which left an 18-year-old dead.

Just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Worcester Police responded to Gage Street for a report of gunshots. There, police found an 18-year-old lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Officers delivered medical aid until an ambulance arrived.

The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not been released.

About a half an hour later, police were called to another shooting in the area of Shrewsbury and Lyon Street. A 19-year-old was shot after an argument with another man. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into these shootings is ongoing. Police have not released any information on the possible suspect(s) or if they believe the shootings are connected.
