BROCKTON, Mass. — Police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a Brockton home Wednesday.
According to the Plymouth County District Attorney, the bodies were reported around 6 p.m. at the home on Mason Street by a landlord during a well-being check.
The DA has identified the deceased as 61-year-old Antonio Cardoso and 53-year-old Rosa Goncalves. Police said the two were not married and each had children of their own.
Officials say the couple's landlord found them while performing a well-being check around 6 p.m. at the request of Cordoso's brother.
Spokeswoman Beth Stone says Goncalves' body was found in the bedroom. She says Cordoso was found in the kitchen, where he hanged himself.
