MARSHFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – State Police are investigating a fatal fire that began early Saturday morning in Marshfield.
According to Plymouth County District Attorney, the fire began around 2 a.m. in a home at 12 Wyoming St.
Lawrence Deparales, 65, was trapped in his second floor bedroom when emergency crews responded and they were unable to save him.
Two occupants of the home were able to escape; they tried to save Desparales but were unable to. The Marshfield Building inspector has deemed the home, a two-story colonial style, unsafe to live in due to the significant water damage.
Police are still working to determine what caused the fire, but they said they do not suspect foul play.
