DUDLEY, Mass. — Eleven children are safe, but a bus driver is under arrest after a school bus crash in Dudley.
According to police Scott Poirier, 42, of Dudley, was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash. He is also charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and child endangerment.
"I'm just angry and disgusted that my son was on a bus with someone who was supposedly intoxicated and his life was in danger,” a parent said.
All of the students were taken off the bus and sent home after the crash.
"But there was still kids -- a bus filled with kids with a live wire on top of the bus,” a parent said.
The students were from Dudley Middle School and the Shepherd Hill Regional High School.
