BOSTON — The nation grieved Saturday as another mass shooting took 11 lives in a Pittsburgh synagogue.
The action was particularly affecting for the Jewish community as the man police say walked into a synagogue with a rifle and three handguns had previously spewed hateful anti-Semitic rhetoric on social media.

"I'm devastated," New England Patriot Julian Edelman tweeted Sunday.
On a typical NFL Sunday Edelman was preparing for a Monday night showdown and contemplating what happened Saturday.
"As a Jew, an American and a human, I'm devastated," Edelman said.
Members of Boston's Jewish communities gathered on the Common to hold a vigil for those killed in the attack.
