COOL SUN LATE WEEK
Expect a cool down behind the cold front to end the week. Winds will gust 30-40 mph overnight and into Thursday morning, adding a little nip to the forecast when you wake up. It will stay above freezing in central and eastern Massachusetts, so no icing from the melted snow. Mostly sunny skies will rule in the afternoon with highs in the lower 40s.
Chilly air will continue to flow into New England for Friday. Morning teens and 20s will return. Plan on highs in the upper 30s to 40 degrees as bright weather continues. Those temperatures will actually be close to normal for the date.
Out next storm will arrive Saturday. It looks like precipitation will arrive late morning. There may be a brief batch of snow in the elevations of Worcester County and the Berkshires, but plain old rain is expected across the rest of southern New England. Showers will peak in the afternoon and wind down overnight.
Sunday’s forecast is iffy. Plan on dry weather in the morning as temperatures rise into the 40s again. It looks like a mild day with plenty of clouds. Showers may arrive in the evening, but the timing and coverage of the rain is still suspect. As of Wednesday night, I do expect the daylight hours to be dry.
