Beautiful Memorial Day weekend!

WEEKEND WARMING

It was a bright and warm start to the weekend, it will be even hotter Sunday. Saturday evening plans will stay dry, eventually we cool to the 50s overnight, not as chilly as it was Saturday morning! The bright sunshine and a southwesterly wind will warm us up quickly into the 80s. There will be a few spots in the Merrimack Valley that will get closer to 90 degrees!

ON THE WATER

For our beachgoers, please keep in mind that the water temperatures along the New England coast remain in the 50s. If you are immersed in these cold waters for long enough, it can quickly cause hypothermia, and could lose dexterity within minutes. Another risk to be aware of is the rip currents are moderate. If you are caught in a rip current, be sure to swim parallel to the shore until you are outside this current. Never Swim toward the shore and never swim alone. Waves are 2-3 feet. UV Index will be high, so make sure to lather on the sunscreen to protect your skin.

NEXT WEEK

Eventually we will see a shift in the pattern we are stuck in currently. It still doesn’t look like we will see much for rain, but temperatures will continue on a roller coaster going from seasonable 70s to near 90 degrees next Thursday. A weak boundary will bring a small chance for an isolated storm Friday, but check back in with us as we fine tune those details!
