MORE RAIN

It’s going to be a washout today with rain in place from start to finish. Plan on slightly slow commutes from showers, standing water, and reduced visibility. We’re looking at a widespread 1″-2″ with localized totals up to 3-4″ in southern New England through tomorrow. This will likely lead to some flooding of streams and rivers, as well as streets and basements. A FLOOD WATCH is in place through at least tonight.

Showers will taper off from west to east during the day tomorrow. Although the rain won’t be as impactful or heavy as Thursday and Thursday night, we’ll continue to see rivers run high and puddles on the highways. We have a Weather Alert into Friday for that reason. The afternoon will probably be partly sunny in western MA, mostly cloudy but dry in central MA, and showery in eastern MA. Rain should be over in the Boston area before the Friday evening commute.

EASTER WEEKEND

Saturday looks nice with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 50s. It will be blustery, but dry.

A quick shot of sprinkles and flurries may pass through Sunday morning. Coverage will be patchy and light at most. Most of the day will run dry with on/off clouds and sun. Wind will be lighter with highs back in the 50s.

Keep an eye on the forecast for Tuesday to Wednesday next week for the next storm with mainly rain and some overnight mixed precipitation.
