FEW FRIDAY SHOWERS
Clouds have thickened up since yesterday. It will stay mostly cloudy with the slight risk of a shower. Most communities will probably stay dry. There are two spots with the best chance for a shower coming through: Cape/Islands (Nantucket in particular) as a front stalls to the south and far inland where an upper level disturbance is approaching.
Onshore winds will make for a cooler day too. Plan for highs in the upper 70s along the coast. Interior spots should reach the lower 80s.
WEEKEND ALWAYS IN VIEW
Clouds will remain abundant Saturday. An upper level disturbance may trigger a few widely scattered showers during the day, but the overall forecast is pretty dry. Don’t cancel outdoor plans yet, but make sure to have a backup plan for any isolated shower that develops in your neighborhood. The cool weather will linger with more beach 70s and inland lower 80s in the afternoon.
Sunday will be brighter and warmer with highs in the 80s area wide. The humidity will slowly creep back in over the weekend, but will be more uncomfortable by the middle of next week.
