This is our one seasonable day this week. Morning 20s will warm to mid-upper 30s. It seems chilly compared to the rest of the week, but it’s right on track with early February. Sunshine will kick things off with increasing afternoon clouds.
A cold front will come through in the evening with a brief wintry mix. We won’t see much accumulation, but trace snow, sleet, and freezing rain will cause some slippery travel north and west of Boston overnight. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 7 PM to 2 AM. The rest of the area from Boston southward will probably see plain rain or a mix that melts upon contact with the ground. Precipitation will amount to less than 1/10″.
Wednesday will be bright and mild again.
It will feel like March and April for the rest of the week. Those balmy temperatures will lead to scattered rain showers Thursday afternoon and evening with the next system. There may be a brief period of mix or snow along the MA/NH border, but it won’t last long before a flip. Showers will wrap up overnight.
