The National Weather Service in Gray has expanded the * Flood Watch to include a portion of central New Hampshire, including the following areas, Belknap and Strafford. * From Friday evening through Saturday evening * Heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will lead to rises in streams in rivers, which are already running high. * Some rivers will rise to minor flood stage. In addition, localized flooding is expected in urban areas, low lying areas, and in places where leaves are clogging drains. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. && $$
