The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of southwest Maine and New Hampshire, including the following areas, in southwest Maine, Coastal York and Interior York. In New Hampshire, Cheshire, Coastal Rockingham, Eastern Hillsborough, Interior Rockingham, Merrimack, and Western And Central Hillsborough. * From Friday evening through Saturday evening * Heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will lead to rises in streams in rivers, which are already running high. * Some rivers will rise to minor flood stage. In addition, localized flooding is expected in urban areas, low lying areas, and in places where leaves are clogging drains. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
