The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. * From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Friday morning * An approaching cold front moves through Southern New England late today and tonight. The front will draw upon tropical moisture from Tropical Storm Michael, creating local downpours as it moves through. The remnants of Hurricane Michael will then pass south of Nantucket Friday morning, maintaining a chance of showers during the morning. * Moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated averaging around 2 to 3 inches for the area with locally heavier amounts especially with any thunderstorm activity as high as 3 to 5 inches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. && $$
