Kirsten Glavin is thrilled to return home to the Bay State as a general assignment reporter with the Boston 25 News team.  Prior to Boston 25, Kirsten spent two years as a reporter and fill-in anchor for CBS affiliate WSPA-TV in South Carolina.

While in the Upstate, she covered breaking news and broke dozens of exclusive stories.  Her award-winning reporting exposed an alleged leader of a human trafficking ring that brought women into the U.S. from other countries, solely for the purpose of prostitution. The accused ring leader was eventually arrested by the Department of Homeland Security. Kirsten was there when she was convicted and sentenced in federal court following the most extensive human trafficking investigation in Upstate history.

Prior to South Carolina, Kirsten worked at CBS affiliate WLNE-TV in Providence, Rhode Island. While there, she covered breaking news and developments in the long-running 38 Studios lawsuit. Glavin began her career in Tyler, Texas where she covered a number of weather-related stories, including a deadly tornado.

Kirsten is a graduate of Boston University and a native of Massachusetts. She grew up in both Grafton and Orleans.  When she is not on the air, you can usually find Kirsten fishing for bass, running the beaches of Cape Cod or sailing in Newport. She also loves traveling and planning her next trip.
