BEVERLY HILLS, CALI. — New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested Saturday night in California for misdemeanor vandalism, according to Lt. Elisabeth Albanese of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Albanese said Edelman was arrested around 9 p.m. for jumping onto the hood of someone’s car and causing damage. It happened in the 200-block of N Beverly Drive.

Edelman was released on a citation, according to Albanese, and is scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles on April 13.

Boston 25 reached out to the New England Patriots for comment, and their spokesman said, “I am aware of the report, but I don’t anticipate that we will be commenting on it.”
