Report: Gronk out vs. Pats, won’t travel due to rib injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Former New England superstar Rob Gronkowski will not play Sunday against the Patriots and will not even travel with his new team - the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - due to a rib injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday afternoon.

There had been questions about Gronk’s ability to play Sunday headed into the weekend, with Tampa Bay listing the tight end as Doubtful in their Friday injury report. The four-time Super Bowl champion did not practice Wednesday through Friday of this week.
