BOSTON — Mike Yastzremski, the grandson of Red Sox legend Carl Yastzremski, will start and lead-off for the San Francisco Giants at Fenway Park tonight.
The Red Sox open a three-game set at Fenway against the Giants. Yastzremski was called up this season after nearly six seasons in the minors and has played well. He spoke with reporters, including Boston 25's Butch Stearns, before Tuesday's series opener.
Carl Yastzremski retired from baseball in 1983.
