BOSTON — Michelle Imonti and her sister, Brenda Sparrow, are headed to the Red Sox home opener after Larry Lucchino surprised them Friday morning with free tickets.
Imonti and Sparrow have participated in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the past ten years. Imonti was the first team leader to register a team for this year's event, scheduled for Sunday, September 22.
