Julian Edelman to wear cleats honoring Pittsburgh shooting victims

Pittsburgh, PA. — When the Patriots take the field on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh, wide receiver Julian Edelman will be sporting a pair of custom cleats to honor the victims of the synagogue shooting that occurred in the city earlier this year.

The long-time Patriot tweeted out a picture of the footwear at 1:01 p.m. on Sunday. The all-white Nike cleats feature a blue Star of David on one side with the phrase, “Stronger than Hate” hashtagged underneath in all caps. On the other side is the logo of the Tree of Life Or L'Simcha Congregation with a message written in Hebrew.
