Numerous months of hard work and dedication was shaved off Julian Edelman's face a few days after the Patriots won Super Bowl LIII, and you can now become the one to own a piece of history.

In an appearance on Ellen last week, Edelman had his beard shaved off for charity, raising a total of $20,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.

Ellen DeGeneres did the honors of returning Edelman to his clean-shaven form, but the historic hair wasn't disposed of right then and there, leaving the opportunity for fans to come in and finish the job.

An auction was set up for anyone to bid on Edelman's beard trimmings, with some already preparing to break the bank and empty their wallets to own the scruff.

In less than three hours, four bids had been placed, with the highest at the time set at $1,600. The next required minimum bid was set at $1,850, with the number sure to rise as the auction continues over the span of seven days.

The bids all support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, adding to the money donated by Edelman and DeGeneres last week.
