Finish Line: the Untold Stories of the 2013 Boston Marathon

Boston Theater Company presents preview performances April 7-23

Through untold stories of the Boston Marathon bombings, Finish Line shares the voices of those affected by the events of April 15, 2013.  Joey Frangieh and Lisa Rafferty, co-creators of Finish Line, interviewed 88 people – runners, survivors, doctors, nurses, journalists, clergy, family and friends out of town—all affected in different ways.

These emotional interviews will be performed by 10 Boston actors in Finish Line.  The actors will recreate these interviews, using the exact words and emotions from the interviewees, to honor and remember those affected.  Rafferty tells us, “It’s important that their stories be kept alive. And that their stories be told and that people remember what happened that day; that people remember those incredible fellow citizens of ours who picked themselves up and ran on.”

The upcoming preview performances of Finish Line: the Untold Stories of the 2013 Boston Marathon will be performed April 7-23.  For tickets and more information visit bostontheatercompany.org.
