LYNN, Mass. - The mother of a youth hockey coach accused of sexually assaulting three young boys has been charged with allegedly sending a threatening message to the mother of one of her son's victims.

Louise Martino, 55, of Winthrop, was arraigned at the Lynn District Court on Monday for one count of intimidation of a witness after she allegedly sent a threatening message to one of her son's victims' mother via social media on Mar. 1. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Martino was ordered by a judge to refrain from making contact with the victims and their families, refrain from abusing alcohol and posting derogatory messages about the victims and their families on social media.

The Commonwealth did not request a cash bail.

Martino's son, Christopher Prew, 31, was arraigned last week on one count of aggravated rape of a child and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

Marino allegedly sent the threats to the mother of one of the victims after Prew's initial detention hearing at the Salem Superior Court.

According to Marblehead Police, Marino turned herself in on Saturday afternoon.

Prew was accused of indecently assaulting and raping a 9-year-old boy from Sept. 2107 to Jan. 2018 after the mother of the boy reported him to Marblehead Police, triggering an investigation.

Following those charges, more accusations against Prew came in, where two other families accused him of assaulting and raping two other 9-year-old boys.

Prew worked as a private hockey coach.

A further hearing on whether Prew will be released on conditions or held without bail is set for Friday, Mar. 9.

    Marino's case is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Apr. 24, 2018.
