WORLD SERIES 2018: Boston weighs in on who they want the Red Sox to face

BOSTON — Baseball fans in Boston rallied Saturday night and watched on as the LA Dodgers faced off the Milwaukee Brewers in anticipation for who the Red Sox will be taking on for the World Series.

Fans tell Boston 25 News they have strong feelings about who they want the Sox to go against.

While the Sox have guaranteed their title after defeating the Houston Astros, the NLCS title is still up for grabs.

"I have reasons, I want both teams – I  have Dave Roberts with the Dodgers and Travis Shaw with the Brewers but I think I’d like to see the Brewers, they seem to have less fire power," said Greg Battey, of Warwick, RI.

Many fans say they feel the Brewers would be an easier win, while the Dodgers might be a better series to watch.

“I think the Red Sox have a better chance of beating the Brewers, I think LA would be a more intense world series, so I just want it to be a good game," said Jessica Battey, of Warwick, RI.

Some argued that, because the Dodgers made it to the World Series last year, it would make for an interesting game to watch them play again this year.

“I would like to see the Dodgers, the Dodgers were in the World Series last year so I feel like this is their time to prove what they can and I feel bad and I think they should be in the World Series," said David Franco, a Boston University student.

Others made bold predictions, but the bottom line was they're confident the Sox can take it.

“I think the Dodgers are going to win, I think they will and I think the Red Sox will beat the Dodgers in 4 games," said Keith Topper, a Boston University student.

“I want Machado to be beaten by the Red Sox, I want the Dodgers and you know, lots going on in LA right now, Magic Johnson’s got things going rolling so it would just be a good time for Boston to beat LA," said Denzel Rego.

Fenway Park may be dark this weekend, but the Red Sox are busy preparing for when it lights back up Tuesday night for Game 1 of the World Series which you can watch on Boston 25.
