One dead, one seriously hurt after three-car crash in Raynham

RAYNHAM, Mass. — A woman died Saturday evening after a three-car crash in Raynham, according to a release from the town's police department.

The woman hasn't yet been identified as police are notifying her next of kin.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of 491 Broadway on Route 138. Police said she was trapped in her car when emergency responders arrived. They rescued her with hydraulic tools before she was brought to Morton Hospital in Taunton. She died there from her injuries.

A man in the same car suffered serious injuries, and he was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

The people in the two other cars involved were not hurt in the crash.

Local and State Police are investigating the crash.
